Peter Farrell DVM

Professional interests: animal welfare, veterinary analgesia/pain management, geriatrics
Dr. Farrell started the practice in 1989 and has since served as the medical director. He is married to Dr. Jody Clarke of Pender Veterinary Centre and has two children. His furry kids include two cats, Maho and Wisp; and a dog, Pecos. He enjoys backpacking, disc golf, and has an interest in computers.

Lisa Marsico DVM
Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine
Professional interests: feline medicine, youth education
Dr. Marsico joined the practice in 1992. She contributes veterinary articles to a neighborhood newspaper and is a frequent guest speaker at local schools. Her interests include skiing, SCUBA diving, hiking, traveling, and playing guitar. She has two cats, Ollie and Abby, and 4 fish.

Anne Mixson DVM, CVA

Professional interests: acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, homeopathy
Dr. Mixson has been at the practice since 1997. She enjoys sea kayaking, reading, and skiing. She shares her home with two cats, Hamilton and Sabina. Currently she has been spending a lot of time studying as she just completed Dr. Pitcairn's homeopathy class and is continuing her studies with a human homeopath.

Adrienne Hergen, DVM
Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (Clinical year at NC State University CVM)
Professional interests: advanced imaging, cardiology, animal welfare
Dr. Hergen joined the practice in 2008. She grew up in Alexandria and now resides in Arlington with her dog, Rusty, and her 4 cats, Alyssum, Daisy, Athena, and Frisky. Her interests include reading, swimming, tennis, hiking with her dog, and spending time at the beach.
