Peter Farrell DVM

Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

Professional interests:  animal welfare, veterinary analgesia/pain management, geriatrics

Dr. Farrell started the practice in 1989 and has since served as the medical director.  He is married to Dr. Jody Clarke of Pender Veterinary Centre and has two children.  His furry kids include two cats, Maho and Wisp; and a dog, Iko.  He enjoys backpacking, disc golf, and has an interest in computers.
 

Lisa Marsico DVM

Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine

Professional interests:  feline medicine, youth education

Dr. Marsico joined the practice in 1992. She contributes veterinary articles to a neighborhood newspaper and is a frequent guest speaker at local schools. Her interests include skiing, SCUBA diving, hiking, traveling, and playing guitar.  She has two cats, Ollie and Abby, and 4 fish.
 

Anne Mixson DVM, CVA

Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine

Professional interests:  acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine

Dr. Mixson has been at the practice since 1997.  She enjoys sea kayaking, reading,  traveling, skiing, and hiking.  She has a cat named Stormy.
 

Ellyn Kirk VMD

University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine

Professional interests:  internal medicine, nutrition, animal welfare

Dr. Kirk joined the practice in 2007.  She lives in Alexandria with her husband Matt, son Danny, and their rescued Golden Retriever P.J.  She enjoys cooking, tennis, travel, and spending time with her family.
